Materials That We Love

Putting palettes together is a great way to see how texture and colour go together before starting a project. It allows you see what your hero elements would be and the supporting back drop pieces. You can also ensure you tonality is correct because you proceed to the next stage. It is a crucial part of the process for us in any project. Anything can be used for a flat lay, it doesn’t have to be a product, it can be a piece of jewellery, a picture , a scarf , a leaf or flower or even a piece of wood. Use items that reflect you and the look you are after. By layering pieces it will allow you see what items pop out and those are the key colours and textures to focus on.
